Mechatronics and Robotics

  • Management of Robotic Complexes and Mechatronic Systems, managed by Alexander Maximovich Malyshenko, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Automation and Robotics Department, +7 (3822) 701837, Building No. 10, office 104; mam@tpu.ru.

At present, there are more than 80 robots per 10,000 employees in the world, and more than 700 robots in the most "robotic" countries. Robotization quickly penetrates into all areas of production and everyday life, and the need for mechatronics and robotic technicians increases every year – getting a profession in this field guarantees further employment.

Per this program, we train specialists of international level who are able to face the challenges of development, research, production and operation of automatic control systems for robotic and mechatronic systems.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

You will be able to:

  • develop mechatronic and robotic systems, their modules and subsystems;
  • manage and process information using artificial intelligence, fuzzy logic, neural and neuro-fuzzy networks;
  • develop and implement mechatronic and robotic systems, control, information-sensor and executive subsystems using mathematical modeling methods and application software packages;
  • conduct experiments on mechatronic and robotic systems to determine their effectiveness and ways to improve them.

What else you need to know

Undergraduates during their training work in modern laboratories: precision electromechanical systems named after A. G. Kozlov, computer-controlled robotic systems; mobile robots; process automation; industrial robotics; Schneider Electric Laboratories;

  • Graduates can work at enterprises related to aerospace, instrument-making, machine-building sphere, in universities and scientific institutes, design and service organizations;
  • Graduates can continue their studies with TPU postgraduate program in the areas of System Analysis, Management and Information Processing, Automation of Technological Processes and Production, Robots, Mechatronics and Robotic Systems.
