13.04.02 Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering
The program is aimed at training specialists in the field of design and application of compact charged particle accelerators and is focused on practical training. The training features specialists and equipment of the Research and Production Laboratory of Pulsed Beam, Electrical Discharge and Plasma Technologies.
Students of the program will be involved in real engineering and scientific projects for customers from Russia, China, Iran and other countries, with the possibility of being employed in the laboratory at the same time as training. They will specialize in the field of radiation technologies, accelerator technology and electrophysical equipment.
Master students are trained in one of two specializations of the student's choice:
-
Pulsed accelerators;
-
Electrical engineering of pulsed accelerators.
As part of the class of 2023, some of the master's students will receive specialized training to participate in the development of pulsed electron accelerators for medical purposes on behalf of Rosatom Corporation.
